MINT has been fortunate to garner support from some great organizations and businesses. Pabst Blue Ribbon has donated beer and other swag to tons of our art openings and events. Great local restaurants like Savage Pizza, and El Myr; as well as neighborhood shops like Criminal Records, Memorial Tattoo, and Young Blood Gallery & Boutique have donated to our fundraisers and raffles over the years. Fallen Arrows has donated tees and is our go-to printer for MINT tee shirts by local artists.
Our new, year long mentorship program called Leap Year has received funding from Possible Futures and Fulton County Arts Council, as well as in-kind support from WonderRoot, The Goat Farm, Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, The Hambidge Center, C4, Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, and Dashboard Co-op.
In addition to the wonderful donations we’ve received from various businesses, we also strive to work with other like-minded organizations to present thoughtful, one of kind events in our space and other venues. One of our most successful partnerships has been with with BurnAway, ThoughtMarker, and WonderRoot. With them, we present Gather Atlanta, an annual networking event that seeks to:
_Unite and promote Atlanta’s emerging galleries, alternative art spaces, and young creative collectives
_Improve collaboration between Atlanta’s disparate arts organizations
_Embrace a community traditionally separated by Atlanta geography or differences in artistic identity
_Provide a forum for creative discourse, fresh ideas, and for sharing resources
Other partnerships include a performance from Dance Truck in the summer of 2011, hosting the Atlanta Zine Library and related events since the fall of 2011, an ongoing relationship with WE Design and the presentation of their annual publication, FORM: Artistic Independence, and fiscal sponsorships of both MondoHomo and Living Walls.
We’re always looking for new, awesome groups to work with. If you’ve got an idea or just need some space to present work, drop us a line. We’d love to hear from you.
