MINT announces the solo exhibition, TOO MUCH AT ONCE? for MINT Leap Year Fellow JORDAN STUBBS, held at The Flatiron Building in Downtown Atlanta. MINT’s Leap Year Program provides three emerging artists per year with studio space, mentors, exhibition support, a solo exhibition, and more. Stubbs’ casual and “nauseatingly vivid” sculptures demand attention as he explores the framework of construction and “precautionary objects,” while also functioning as a metaphor for self-improvement
Jordan Stubbs is an artist living and working in Atlanta. Raised in a military family, he spent much of his adolescence living abroad. Jordan received his BFA from Georgia State University in Photography. During that time, he also co-founded the artist-run space, The LOW Museum in the Old Fourth Ward. Jordan spent the next two and a half years as the gallery director for the LOW, during which he aided in fostering a space for emerging artists and thinkers to show their work and host thoughtful discussions. Jordan is currently a 2015/16 MINT Leap Year Fellow, and assistant gallery director at Swan Coach House Gallery.
