WHAT WE DO

Leap Year is MINT’s flagship program, having served 30 artists since 2011. Each year a selection panel of Atlanta arts leaders review applications submitted by over 75 visual artists from across the city. The panel selects five diverse, emerging artists from the Atlanta area to participate in the year-long fellowship program. MINT provides the artists with: dedicated studio space for one year; a two-week residency at The Hambidge Center; opportunities for public art and community engagement; complimentary memberships to Atlanta institutions; studio visits with renowned guest curators and critics; an established Atlanta-based artist to serve as a mentor; and a solo exhibition. All artists who participate in our residency program are paid a W.A.G.E. stipend.

MINT is proud to offer an Annual Juried Exhibition for emerging artists. Featuring a new juror yearly, the exhibition seeks to showcase the work of some of the most dynamic and innovative emerging cultural producers currently working in the United States.

OPEN CALL

Each year we invite artists and curators to submit proposals for solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, and curatorial projects. Our aim is to showcase diverse and underrepresented voices in the art community, fostering growth and experimentation. Selected proposals will be featured in our galleries, providing artists with resources and support to bring their vision to life.
