MINT is pleased to present You Are Welcome, You’re Welcome, a Hambidge Creative HiVE Project at Colony Square. Invited artists are occupying a former dentist’s office that will be transformed into a light filled experimental installation and performance space. Projects include a wide spectrum of disciplines ranging from Jane Garver’s Keys Largo, an immersive oasis of thrift store keyboards inviting viewers to create their own temporary symphonies, to Danielle Deadwyler’s Empirical Evidence: Loud Tracks, a project that confronts the beneficiaries of the manual and emotional labor of the underpaid and the overplayed workers of our communities, giving especial credence to women and people of color. Throughout the two months, MINT HiVE artists will activate their spaces with spontaneous pop-up performances, several planned events, and various interactive projects that will require audience participation. Artist profiles, project imagery, performance dates, and other information will be shared via social media.
Featured artists are: Jane Garver, Hasani Sahlehe, Lauren Peterson, Terp Vairin, Danielle Deadwyler, Kaye Lee Patton, Shae Edman, Amanda Grae Platner, Jessica Caldas, and Natalie Escobar.
