The artist’s mother and best friend are depicted in an embroidered thread painting, using only thread and fabric. The

two are eating crawfish after a misadventure of the day, the figures are placed on the interlocking version of the

traditional quilt block ‘Friendship Star’ Like all pieces, all elements of this were solely created by the artist while using

upcycled and significant fabrics.
